Meet The Instructor….
……Thanks for taking the time to visit my my website. My name is Jeff Randall, originally from the finger lakes region of central New York, currently residing in Jacksonville Florida. Growing up on Cayuga Lake where I fly fished it’s tributaries for trout, salmon and smallmouth bass, I now enjoy the challenge of fly fishing the surf of northeast Florida.
Certified as a casting instructor in March of 2024 through the Casting Instructor Certification Program (CICP) with Fly Fishers International (FFI).
I currently instruct individuals and groups in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. With over 20 years of fly fishing in fresh and saltwater environments, I bring passion and experience to my instruction.
If you are new to the sport of fly fishing and want to learn how to cast, or you are an angler who needs a tuneup lesson prior to a scheduled trip, or feel you have reached a plateau in your casting skill set, feel free to reach out to me to schedule a lesson.
“Fly Casting” defines the sport of “Fly Fishing”….
If the angler is unable to effectively present the fly to a fish, it makes for a long frustrating day on the water. Feel free to reach me using the “contact” page on this website, or at my email addres: cayugaflycaster@gmail.com.
Why Cayuga ? I grew up in the finger lakes region of central New York on Cayuga Lake. I did some casting instruction in 2019 in that region and named the business after the region I lived in and will continue using it here in Jacksonville Florida.
